Telecommunications is a complicated and fast evolving industry, filled with new technology, confusing contracts, hidden fees, complex rate plans, unsympathetic customer service departments…. and the list goes on.

450TeL Communications is in the business of changing that.

The company’s beginning was a coming together of veterans in the industry: marketing specialists, technical experts, operations managers, all of them frustrated with the status quo and looking to provide customers with a new and friendly experience.

After several meetings and much brainstorming, the founders decided on a model: The company would offer fifty cent bundles to customers, providing a fixed number of long distance minutes, or 4 minutes for 50¢, maximizing the value for price conscious customers, while providing superior customer service and doing away with additional fees and contracts. Early in 2005, 450TeL Communications Inc. was born.

In 2016 , 450Tel was acquired by Distributel Communications Limited, who also believe in fairness, simplicity and in superior standards for customer experience and value.
